PCAL9722HN/Q900MP is an ultra-low-voltage translating 22-bit SPI I/O expander with Agile I/O features, interrupt output and reset. It provides remote I/O expansion for most microcontrollers with the SPI interface. The ultra-low-voltage interface allows for direct connection to a microcontroller operating down to 1.1V. It provides a simple solution when additional I/Os are needed while keeping interconnections to a minimum, for example, in battery-powered mobile applications for interfacing with sensors, push buttons, keypads, etc. In addition to providing a flexible set of GPIOs, it simplifies the interconnection of a processor running at one voltage level down to 1.1V to I/O devices operating at a different voltage level 1.65 to 5.5V.
- SPI bus to parallel port expander, 5MHz SPI bus
- Low standby current consumption is 2.0μA typical at 3.3V VDD
- 5.5V tolerant I/O ports and SPI bus pins, active LOW reset input (active low, RESET)
- Open-drain active LOW interrupt output (active low INT), internal power-on reset
- Noise filter on SPI inputs
- Latched outputs with 25mA drive maximum capability for directly driving LEDs
- Latch-up performance exceeds 100mA per JESD 78, Class II
- ESD protection exceeds JESD 22 2000V Human-Body Model (A114-A), 1000V Charged-Device Model (C101)
- Input clamping voltage is -1.2V min (II = -18mA, Tamb = -40°C to +85°C)
- HVQFN32 package, ambient temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
