The MAX1853EXT+T is an inverting charge pump with Shutdown in 6 pin SC-70 package. This monolithic, CMOS charge pump voltage inverter features a low 15ohm output resistance permitting loads up to 30mA with maximum efficiency. The MAX1853 is available with operating frequency of 200KHz allowing optimization of supply current or external component size. Small external components and micropower shutdown mode make this device ideal for both battery powered and board level voltage conversion applications. Oscillator control circuitry and four power MOSFET switches are included on-chip. Applications include generating a negative supply from a +5V or +3.3V logic supply to power analogue circuitry, small LCD panels, GaAsFET bias supplies, handy-terminals, PDAs and battery-operated equipment.

- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Quiescent supply current is 165μA
- Logic controlled shutdown is 0.1μA
- Slew rate limited to reduce EMI
- Voltage conversion efficiency is 99.9%
- Requires only two 0.68μF capacitors
