DS1868BE-010+

The DS1868BE-010+ is a dual, 256 position digital potentiometer chip in 20 pin TSSOP package. This potentiometer can be used independently or stacked for increased total resistance and number of taps. Communication takes place through a 3-wire serial port interface that drives an internal control logic unit. Multiple DS1868 devices can be linked or daisy-chained for control by a single processor. The DS1868 is based on DS1267 technology which is designed for applications requiring extremely low current consumption, signal control in modems and phones, battery charging and control circuitry, tuning and calibration, offset trimming of operational amplifiers, gain control and power supply regulation.

• Supply voltage range is 4.5V to 5.5V
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• 3-wire serial control interface
• Wiper positions set as 8bit values
• Wipers are digitally set and read through serial port
• Maximum standby current is 1µA
• EEPROM maintains settings in the absence of power
• Resistors can be connected in series to provide increased total resistance
• Resistive elements are temperature compensated to ±0.3LSB relative linearity
• End to end resistance is 10Kohm at ±20% tolerance and temperature coefficient is 750ppm/°C
