Product Overview
The MAX5407EKA+T is a 32-tap, audio logarithmic taper digital potentiometer in 8 pin SOT-23 package. It consists of a resistor string and CMOS switches that are digitally controlled through a simple 2-wire serial interface. This device performs the same function as a mechanical potentiometer and ideally suitable for audio applications such as volume control and fading/balancing audio signals.
- Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Logarithmic taper with 1dB steps between taps
- Zero-crossing detection to minimize the audible noise during wiper transitions
- End to end resistance is 20Kohm at ±25% tolerance and temperature coefficient is 35ppm/°C
- Low supply current of 0.35µA
- Power-on reset, wiper goes to maximum attenuation
