A µModule power product simplifies implementation, Verification, and Manufacturing of complex power circuits by integrating the power function in a compact moulded plastic package.
Analog Devices’ µModule® (micromodule) regulators and dc-to-dc power products are complete system-in-package (SiP) power management solutions with integrated dc-to-dc controllers, power transistors, input and output capacitors, compensation components, and inductors within a compact, surface-mount BGA or LGA package. µModule power products support functions such as step-down (buck), step-down and step-up (buck-boost), battery charger, isolated converter, and LED driver. As a highly integrated solution with PCB Gerber files available for every device, µModule power products address time and space constraints while delivering a high efficiency, reliable, and, with select products, a low EMI solution compliant with EN 55022 Class B standards.

LTM8060
Quad 40VIN, silent switcher µModule regulator with configurable 3A output array
The LTM8060 is quad 40VIN, 3A step-down Silent Switcher µModule® regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies up to 3MHz. Included in the package are the controllers, power switches, inductors, and support components. Operating over a wide input voltage range, the LTM8060 supports output voltages from 0.8V to 8V, and a switching frequency range of 200kHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the bulk input and output filter capacitors, are needed to finish the design. The LTM8060 product video is available on website.
The LTM8060 is packaged in a compact (11.9mm × 16mm × 3.32mm) over-molded Ball Grid Array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment. The LTM8060 is available with SnPb (BGA) or RoHS compliant.

LTM8060 compatible development kit
Demonstration circuit 2820A features the LTM8060 µModule® regulator, a quad output high-performance step-down Silent Switcher® µModule regulator in a thermally enhanced 11.9mm × 16mm × 3.32mm BGA package. DC2820A has a wide operating input voltage range of 5.4V to 40V. The output rails are configured for 5V, 3.3V, 1.5V, 1.2V and are resistor programmable from 0.8V to 8V.

LTM4686
Ultrathin dual 10A or single 20A µModule regulator with digital power system management
The LTM4686 is a dual 10A (12A Peak) or single 20A (24A Peak) step-down µModule® (micromodule) DC/DC regulator with 39ms turn-on time. It features remote configurability and telemetry-monitoring of power management parameters over PMBus—an open standard I2C-based digital interface protocol . The LTM4686 is comprised of fast analog control loops, precision mixed-signal circuitry, EEPROM, power MOSFETs, inductors and supporting components.
The LTM4686’s 2-wire serial interface enables voltage margining and sequencing, and telemetry readback of currents, voltages, power, temperature, uptime and peak values. Pin-strap resistors configure start-up settings. The LTpowerPlay™ GUI, DC1613 USB-to-PMBus converter, DC2086 programming adapter and demo kits are available. Applications running from 5VIN or supplying 5VAUX to SVIN should use LTM4686-1. Otherwise, use LTM4686.
Pb-free and RoHS compliant, the LTM4686 is available in a 16mm × 11.9mm × 1.82mm LGA package.

LTM8074
40VIN, 1.2A silent switcher µModule regulator
The LTM8074 is a 40VIN, 1.2A continuous, 1.75A peak, step-down µModule® (power module) regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies up to 2.2MHz. Included in the package are the switching controller, power switches, inductor, and all support components. Operating over an input voltage range of 3.2V to 40V, the LTM8074 supports an output voltage range of 0.8V to 12V and a switching frequency range of 200kHz to 2.2MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the input and output filter capacitors are needed to finish the design.
The low profile package enables utilization of unused space on the bottom of PC boards for high density point of load regulation. The LTM8074 is packaged in a thermally enhanced, compact over-molded ball grid array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment. The LTM8074 is RoHS compliant.

DC2753A
LTM8074 compatible development kit
Demonstration circuit 2753A features the LTM8074EY µModule regulator, a tiny high performance high efficiency step-down regulator with Silent Switcher® architecture. DC2753A has an operating input voltage range of 3.4V to 40V and is able to provide an output current of up to 1.2A. The output voltage can be programmed from 0.78V up to 15V. The LTM8074EY is a complete DC/DC point of load regulator in a thermally enhanced 4mm × 4mm × 1.82mm BGA package requiring only a few input and output capacitors.
The radiated EMI performances of the board (with EMI filter) are shown in Figure 6 and Figure 7. The demo board also has a conducted EMI filter installed. To use the conducted EMI filter, the input should be tied to VEMI, not VIN. An inductor L2, which is a 0Ω jumper on the board by default now, can be added in the EMI filter to further reduce the conducted emission.

LTM4691
Low VIN, high efficiency, dual 2A step-down DC/DC µModule regulator
The LTM4691 is a complete dual 2A output switching mode DC/DC power supply in a tiny 3mm × 4mm × 1.18mm LGA package and a 3mm × 4mm × 1.48mm BGA package. Included in the package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductors and all supporting components. Operating over an input voltage range of 2.25V to 3.6V, the LTM4691 supports two outputs with programmable output voltage range from 0.5V to 2.5V set by external resistors. Its high efficiency design delivers up to 2A continuous current on each output. Only bulk input and output capacitors are needed.
The LTM4691 operates in forced continuous mode for low noise pulse-skipping mode or Burst Mode operation for high efficiency at lights loads. The typical buck switching frequency is 2MHz and can be synchronized from 1MHz to 3MHz. Its high switching frequency and a current mode architecture enables a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability.
Other features include precision run thresholds, a PGOOD signal, output overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection. The LTM4691 is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.

LTM4691 compatible development kit
Demonstration circuit 2910A is low VIN, high efficiency, and dual 2A output µModule DC/DC converter. The board operates by default at a fixed 2MHz and can be synchronized from 1MHz to 3MHz via the MODE/SYNC pin. With its high switching frequency and current mode architecture, a fast transient response to line and load changes is possible without sacrificing stability. The DC2910A can be used in forced continuous mode or pulse skip mode for low noise, or in burst mode operation for high efficiency at light loads. The demo board features the LTM4691, which is available in a low profile 3mm x 4mm x 1.2mm LGA package. Please see the LTM4691 datasheet for more detailed information.

MAXM17552
4V to 60V, 100mA, compact step-Down power module
The Himalaya series of voltage regulator ICs and power modules enable cooler, smaller, and simpler power supply solutions. The MAXM17552 is a high-efficiency, synchronous, step-down DC-DC power module with integrated controller, MOSFETs, compensation components, and inductor that operates over a wide input-voltage range. The module operates from 4V to 60V input voltage and delivers up to 100mA output current over a programmable output voltage from 0.9V to 5.5V. The module significantly reduces design complexity, manufacturing risks and offers a true “plug and play” power supply solution, reducing the time-to-market.
The MAXM17552 employs peak-current-mode control architecture. To reduce input inrush current, the device offers a soft-start feature including the default soft-start time of 5.1ms.
The MAXM17552 is available in a low profile, compact 10-pin 2.6mm x 3mm x 1.5mm µSLIC™ package.

MAXM17552 compatible development kit
The MAXM17552 evaluation kit (EV kit) is a demonstration circuit of the MAXM17552 ultra-small, high efficiency, current mode, synchronous step-down DC-DC switching power module. The EV kit operates over a wide input-voltage of 14V to 60V and provides up to 100mA load current with a 5V output voltage. The EV kit is programmed to switch at a frequency of 450kHz. The module is simple to use and easily configurable with minimal external components. It features cycle-bycycle peak current-limit protection, undervoltage lockout (EN/UVLO), and thermal shutdown.

LTM4661
15V, 4A step-up µModule regulator
The LTM4661 is a synchronous step-up switching mode µModule® (power module) regulator in a 6.25mm × 6.25mm × 2.42mm BGA package. Included in the package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor and all support components. Operating over an input voltage of 1.8V to 5.5V, down to 0.7V after start-up, the LTM4661 regulates an output voltage of 2.5V to 15V set by an external resistor. It provides up to 4A switch current. Only bulk input and output capacitors are needed.
The LTM4661 1MHz switching frequency and dual phase single output architecture enable fast transient response to line and load changes and a significant reduction of output ripple voltage. It supports frequency synchronization, PolyPhase® operation and selectable Burst Mode operation. The LTM4661 features a true output disconnect during shutdown and inrush current limit at start-up. It also has short-circuit, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.

LTM4661 compatible development kit
Demonstration circuit 2569A is ultrathin step-up µModule regulator featuring the LTM4661. The DC2569A operates over 1.8V to 5.5V input and it generates 12V, 1A output from 5V input. Also, the LTM4661 has precision voltage reference, which can generate output voltage with 3% tolerance over the full operating conditions. The 1MHz switching frequency operation results in small and efficient circuit. The converter operates with only one phase in burst mode and achieves over 90% efficiency with 100mA load. The demonstration circuit can be easily modified to generate different output voltages.
